Kii Fudoki Hill

Wakayama Prefectural Kii Fudoki no Oka is a museum that was established in August 1971 to protect the Iwahashi Senzuka Tumulus Group, a special national historic site. Exhibits archeology and folklore materials. The site is approximately 67 hectares in area, and there are approximately 500 ancient tombs of all sizes on the hill at an altitude of 150 meters and on the northern slope. At the foot of the mountain, there is a village of historic buildings designated by the country and prefecture as well as the Manyo Botanical Garden, where you can enjoy the nature of Satoyama in every season.
