Itakeso Shrine

Ita-Kiso Shrine is dedicated to the ``50 Take no Mikoto'' who planted trees in Japan. This deity is worshiped as the ``God of Wood'', and wood-related people from all over the country come to worship. Isotake no Mikoto, also known as ``Oyabikojin,'' appears in the ``Kojiki.'' There is an anecdote that he saved Okuninushi from disaster, and for that reason, he is also worshiped as the ``god of life'' and ``the god of warding off evil spirits.'' For this reason, many people visit this shrine to pray for healing from illness and warding off evil spirits.
