Mizushiba ware was founded in 1796 by the first Okazakiya Sakagami Jujiro. It is characterized by its green-blue porcelain, which originates from the Longquan kiln in China, and was given the name Zuishibayaki by the lord of the Kishu clan, Marquis Jiho. Currently, the 6th generation, Jujiro Sakagami, is in charge of the kiln.
