Maejin Shrine/Kokukake Shrine

Saimae Jingu and Kunikake Jingu, which are said to have been built around 600 B.C., are two majestic shrines built on the same grounds. Mae Mae Shrine enshrines the sun mirror, which symbolizes the light of the sun, as a deity, and worships Mae Mae Okami, the sun god. On the other hand, Kunikake Shrine enshrines a mirror with a mirror whose tip shines like the rays of the sun as a deity, and worships Kunikake Okami, the god who protects the peace of the country.
