Saginamori Betsuin, a branch of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji sect, is the place where Honganji's teachings expanded dramatically when the 8th Shonin Rennyo moved to Reishuiura, Kii Province (present-day Kainan City). After that, the base was moved to Kuroe and Mt. Gobo, and its origin is Saiga Gobo, which was moved to its current location in 1563. This area is the center of the Saiga monks and has continued to be revered by people with deep faith.
